THE IMPORTANCE OF BRITISH MANUFACTURE

SUPPORTING SHEFFIELD AND THE REBELLION ON FAST FASHION.

With a history dating back to 1936, The Goral family are amongst a unique branch of local Sheffield manufacturers, who continue to implore traditional methods to their modern and innovative designs. From their longstanding formal footwear business that began out of a small workshop near the family home to their freshly launched sneaker brand, gaining the attention from the likes of Drapers, the royal family, and other highly established organisations. The award-winning footwear brand has stayed true to exceptional craft for over 80 years.

As the brands, ethos is to step away from fast fashion, concentrating on quality over quantity, the sneaker collections are only run in small batches ensuring authenticity and unique value to each pair of kicks.

Due to this, lines often sell out quickly and, in many cases are not repeated.

HANDMADE IN ENGLAND

There are a plethora of brands squeezing manufacturers for every last scent, Goral is rebelling back against this mentality.

Goral understands the importance of quality craftsmanship and respects the art and value of each shoe that leaves their family factory. Goral continues to invest in their own manufacturing facility so they can oversee the full process in house from design to production and product quality. Quality control is everything to the brand and all footwear is given the Goral seal of approval before leaving the factory. The value is in the details and each pair of sneakers comes with its own dust bag to protect the shoes, thank you note and cardboard box, further reducing their use of plastic.

The planet and the country can’t withstand the current manufacturing model, by offering a new solution to the current waste coming out of the industry, Goral are doing what they can to ensure the products they create, stand the test of time and become a valued possession to their customer, not just another throwaway purchase.

As industry ambassadors, leading brands need to inform, educate and offer solutions to global issues, instead of always focusing on profit margins. We feel far richer producing a product we know our customers will cherish, we don’t focus purely on margins, we value British manufacture, supporting our local city and England as a whole and focusing on quality over quantity. Our products might not be as cheap as some footwear brands, but our robust quality and innovation far outweigh the short terms benefit from buying cheap footwear”.
