“A real barefoot shoe should avoid elevating the heel, restricting the arch, or cramping the toes. The GORAL shoes strike a perfect balance, with a well-designed forefoot shape that accommodates natural foot positioning without allowing excessive splay.”

What Makes The Barefoot Sneaker Special?

THE FOUR KEY STAGES OF SHOEMAKING CRAFTSMANSHIP

CLICKING

The clicking process is a crucial step in shoe manufacturing, where the individual leather pieces that make up the upper are cut into precise shapes before being assembled. This stage gets its name from the sound the machines make as they cut through the material.

CLOSING

The closing process in shoe manufacturing refers to the stage where the individual components of the shoe upper, such as the vamp, quarters, and tongue, are sewn or stitched together to form the complete upper structure of the shoe.

LASTING

The lasting process is a critical stage in shoe manufacturing, where the shoe's upper is molded into its final shape and attached to the sole. This process gives the shoe its structure, fit, and comfort, making it one of the most important steps in creating a well-constructed shoe.

FINALISING

The shoes undergo a thorough inspection and refinement before they are packaged and shipped to you. This process is critical for ensuring that each pair of shoes meets the highest standards of quality and craftsmanship.

Terrible insoles

The shoes themselves are great but the insoles are really terrible. After walking in the shoes for a few miles I noticed multiple hard lumps under my feet and thought a small rock or something had fallen in my shoe. Turns out the "removable" insoles that are glued to the inside of the shoe (why?) are full of large hard lumps in the padding under the leather. I had to peel the insoles out, tearing up the padding in the process because of all the glue. I'm not sure what they're made of, they kind of feel like lumps of plastic. Truly baffling for a $350 shoe.

AMAZING

Out of the box the most comfortable Goral show I've had yet - I was expecting a more flimsy shoe - delighted that it has solid substance to it.

Leather doesn't need any break in at ankle height. A+ (I like that part though)
Laces only need a little loosening to get in and out. A+
Heel has no slippage and won't require any adjustment on my foot. A+
Looks amazing. A+

Straight out of the box and definitely my new day to day. Took a chance on this barefoot - beyond satisfied.

One word WONDERFUL

I was concerned that I had ordered a size too big when I asked to change down to a 9 it was absolutely no problem at all I’m glad I did as they are spot on
The leather is wonderfully soft, smell great and they are the most comfortable boots I have ever owned
I have ordered two more different styles can’t wait

Pretty nice

Pretty nice. I don't like socks. I realize barefoot doesn't really mean wear them barefoot but when i wear them without socks my feet get really hot. I think the solution is a cloth insole instead of the leather one. The ones o found online dont look great. I might just glue some canvas to a piece of rubber.
