Fit Guide - modal
Regular (D) vs Wide (EE)
Choose the width that feels best for your feet.
-
Regular Fit (D)
Our standard width, designed to fit most foot shapes.
-
Wide Fit (EE)
Made for broader feet, with extra room across the forefoot.
What's the difference?
Wide Fit (EE) styles are approximately 1/4 inch (6 mm) wider in girth than Regular Fit (D) styles.
This gives more space across the ball of the foot without changing the overall shape, silhouette, or craftsmanship of the shoe.
Width terminology
- In the UK, a D fit is considered average width for men.
- In the USA, this is often called a Medium (M), Standard, or Regular fit.
- A Wide (EE) fit gives you more width across the ball of the foot — roughly one full width size up.
Which one should you choose?
- Choose Regular (D) if standard-width shoes usually fit you well.
- Choose Wide (EE) if your shoes often feel tight across the front or sides, or if you have naturally wider feet.
Still unsure?
Don't overthink it — both widths are made on the same last, with the same shape and quality. Only the width changes.
