Horween Chromexcel® is a pull-up leather, hot-stuffed with oils and waxes. It lightens where it creases, light scuffs buff out, and it darkens into a deep patina with wear.

Virginia starts out as a chrome-tanned leather, then it’s retanned with vegetable extracts. This is known as a “veg retan”, and it gives a soft, supple leather that keeps its durability. It’s also why Virginia ages so well, building a vintage patina without losing any of its strength.
