Our Resoleable Retro Runner

We’ve just introduced a new style to the GORAL line-up: the Walker. It’s a shoe inspired by vintage runners from the 70s and 80s, slim, simple, versatile, but built with our own approach to quality and longevity.

What sets the Walker apart is its construction and material choices. The leather’s from Boaventura in Portugal, it’s called Virginia leather, and it’s made using a mix of chrome and veg tanning (a process known as veg re-tan, if you're into that stuff). That basically means it’s tough, but still gets better-looking the more you wear it.

Underfoot, a lightweight EVA sole keeps things comfortable without adding bulk. Inside, it’s fully lined in leather, with a leather insole and heel counter for structure and support. And, of course, like all GORAL styles, it’s resoleable. That’s rare for a runner. Most sneakers like this are glued and disposable. We’ve used our signature Blake stitch construction, so when the sole wears down, you send it back, and we rebuild it.

We wanted a shoe that looks clean and timeless, but feels lived-in from day one. Something you could wear with jeans, trousers, or shorts. Not flashy. Not fussy. Just something you’d reach for over and over.

The Walker is now available now.
