Behind the Scenes: The Chelsea Boot Launch Shoot
When we set out to launch the GORAL Chelsea boot, we knew it needed more than a studio backdrop. This boot isn’t just footwear, it’s a piece of British heritage reimagined by our Sheffield workshop. To capture that spirit, we took the launch shoot out of the city and into the heart of the Peak District. From winding roads to open hills, the Peaks gave us a setting that reflects the Chelsea boot, versatile, timeless, and ready for wherever life takes you.
To bring the story to life, we teamed up with Ricki Hall. Known for his tattoos, beard, and unmistakable presence, Ricki was the perfect fit for a boot designed to stand out without shouting. Rugged yet refined, his look gave the shoot exactly the edge we wanted the Chelsea boot to embody.
No British countryside shoot would be complete without the right set of wheels. Our friends at Elm Café supplied their classic Land Rover, a machine as iconic and enduring as the Chelsea boot silhouette. Together, it gave the shoot a sense of adventure and authenticity, not just styled, but lived in.
The GORAL Chelsea boot is built with our signature resoleable Blake stitch construction and crafted from the finest Horween Chromexcel leather. It’s made to go anywhere, just like the Land Rover that carried us through the Peaks and the landscapes we shot against. Durable, timeless, and distinctly British.
This shoot wasn’t about glossy fashion images, it was about telling a story. The Chelsea boot is more than a seasonal launch; it’s a piece of craft meant to move with you through every part of life, from city streets to countryside escapes. The Peak District, Ricki Hall, and Elm Café’s Land Rover all helped us bring that vision to life.
