Introducing: The Dali in collaboration with Hemingsworth Menswear.
Earlier this year we teamed up with Hemingsworth Menswear to create an espadrille with a difference, incorporating trainer elements into this casual classic allowed us to make them more durable and wearable, indoors and out.
We've reconstructed a footwear staple to combine our unique construction with a lighter more wearable shoe. Luxuriously soft and handcrafted by our team of experts. Featuring our unique Blake stitch construction to allow for a full resole. The unlined upper is cut from Janus Calf, a full grain suede.
Whilst designing The Dali one things stood out to us as being key, retaining the same flexibility found in a traditional espadrille whilst still offering the same level of cushioning as found on all GORAL shoes.
To do this we sourced the soles from Lactae Hevea, a French manufacture that's known for their ultra flexible natural latex soles. We also opted to use a buttery soft janus calf suede from Leeds based tannery Charles F Stead, using a full grain leather allows us to construct the shoes without a lining reducing bulk to make a more leightweight shoe.
