What Others Say About The Goral Fit?
For a brief moment I thought Goral had sent me a new pair of shoes!
Top workmanship and care at a level of quality and comfort I haven't come across with any other brand. I've bought three pairs in different colours and love them.
Steve B
Better than expected
There probably isn't much room for improvement in the service. It has given my new pair of Goral trainers a new life. They feel almost new as they've cleaned them up and made repairs to the lining at the heel too. I suppose the turnaround could be a bit quicker.
Josh
Fantastic value for money
I cannot recommend the rebuild enough - after two years, my shoes were looking tired and the sole was falling apart. The rebuild made them look (almost) like new again. The only thing that's betraying their age is small wear on the leather; however, with the high quality of Goral's materials, these shoes are going to last for many more years.

Why is made-to-order better?
At GORAL, being a made-to-order brand allows us to prioritise what truly matters: quality. Unlike most brands that invest heavily upfront, guessing what will sell each season, we already know exactly what our customers want. This means we can invest our resources directly into creating the highest-quality designs without ever compromising.
We don't rely on end-of-season sales to clear excess inventory, and we never cut corners. We take pride in every pair we make. When you choose GORAL, you're not just buying shoes, you're investing in a product built to last a lifetime.
Fit Guide
Fit Guide: Regular (D) vs Wide (EE)
Most of our customers will feel right at home in our Regular Fit (D) — it’s our standard width and suits the majority of foot shapes. But if you have a broader foot or often find standard shoes a little snug, our Wide Fit (EE) offers extra room across the forefoot for all-day comfort.
Our fit options:
The Wide Fit (EE) styles are approximately 1/4 inch (about 6 mm) wider in girth measurement than our Regular Fit (D) styles. This added space offers a more generous fit for broader feet without compromising structure or style.
- In the UK, a D fit is considered average width for men.
- In the USA, this is often called a Medium (M), Standard, or Regular fit.
- A Wide (EE) fit gives you more width across the ball of the foot — roughly one full width size up.
Whether you go with D or EE, both fits are built on the same last and crafted with the same precision. The width is the only difference — the shape, silhouette, and quality remain identical.
Not sure what to pick?
If you usually wear standard-width shoes and they fit just fine, choose Regular (D).If your shoes often feel tight across the front or sides, or you have a naturally wider foot, Wide (EE) might be the better call.
And remember — this isn’t something you need to overthink. If you’re not 100% sure, don’t stress. We offer a flexible returns policy so you can find your perfect fit with peace of mind.

What Others Say About The Goral Fit?
These are slip on shoes not slippers, not a bad thing just expect it to feel more like a shoe. Theres so much ducking lining If you plan on wearing them barefoot id get at least a half size up from your regular shoe. If you plan on wearing socks i recommend a full size up at least for normal socks. Well see how they feel when the lining compresses but very well crafted. On the design front though i wish the heel area was minimum 50% taller so the lining could wrap around my heel. Other than that very comfortable and warm for my forefoot and bottom of my feet.
Thanks for taking the time to share such a detailed review, we really appreciate it. You’re absolutely right that these are very much shoes rather than slippers, and the lining does play a big role in how they feel initially. We design it to provide warmth, structure, and long-term comfort, but we understand that it can make sizing feel different and you should size up even though the lining will naturally compress and settle over time with wear.
Your feedback on the heel height is noted as well, insights like yours genuinely help inform future refinements. We’re glad to hear that overall you’re finding them comfortable and warm, thank you again for your order!
Keep my feet warm and dry
Top notch
I thought I could replace my usual house slippers with these but I've found them to be a little too hard-wearing. They come with the typical GORAL construction and are very robust. They're really good for slipping on if you need to nip to the shops or take the bins out but I wouldn't wear them indoors with my pyjamas.
I also find when stepping, my heel moves up and out at the back of the shoe. During this motion, my heel rubs up against the back rim. This hasn't caused any blisters or pain but I have noticed my socks look rubbed and worn down in that area where the rim rubs against. Perhaps sizing up would prevent this issue? Either way it's not a deal breaker for me.
Overall i'm still happy with my purchase and now have a pair of sliders I can just slip on whenever I need to nip outside during colder days.
These slippers look great, smell great, super fluffy inside but a bit tight over my instep. I’ve got a high instep and have had issues With ‘mule’ type slip ons before. I’ve had a few pairs of open slider type slippers and shoes and have always found them really tight or even unable to get them on because of my instep. I ordered a size up and these ones are still tight over my instep, I can get them on, they are wearable and not uncomfortable, but you do notice them. I suspect as the sole breaks in, the floof flattens a bit and the leather upper stretches a bit they will get more comfortable- at least I hope so, I haveshoe stretchers that will work for these if all Else fails. First pair of Gorals I haven’t been extremely happy with, but I did think this may happen so was prepared. My advice to anyone with a high instep be prepared to do some modifying, at least maybe some stretching and go wide and a size up.
