What Others Say About The Goral Fit?
For a brief moment I thought Goral had sent me a new pair of shoes!
Top workmanship and care at a level of quality and comfort I haven't come across with any other brand. I've bought three pairs in different colours and love them.
Steve B
Better than expected
There probably isn't much room for improvement in the service. It has given my new pair of Goral trainers a new life. They feel almost new as they've cleaned them up and made repairs to the lining at the heel too. I suppose the turnaround could be a bit quicker.
Josh
Fantastic value for money
I cannot recommend the rebuild enough - after two years, my shoes were looking tired and the sole was falling apart. The rebuild made them look (almost) like new again. The only thing that's betraying their age is small wear on the leather; however, with the high quality of Goral's materials, these shoes are going to last for many more years.

Why is made-to-order better?
At GORAL, being a made-to-order brand allows us to prioritise what truly matters: quality. Unlike most brands that invest heavily upfront, guessing what will sell each season, we already know exactly what our customers want. This means we can invest our resources directly into creating the highest-quality designs without ever compromising.
We don't rely on end-of-season sales to clear excess inventory, and we never cut corners. We take pride in every pair we make. When you choose GORAL, you're not just buying shoes, you're investing in a product built to last a lifetime.
Fit Guide
Fit Guide: Regular (D) vs Wide (EE)
Most of our customers will feel right at home in our Regular Fit (D) — it’s our standard width and suits the majority of foot shapes. But if you have a broader foot or often find standard shoes a little snug, our Wide Fit (EE) offers extra room across the forefoot for all-day comfort.
Our fit options:
The Wide Fit (EE) styles are approximately 1/4 inch (about 6 mm) wider in girth measurement than our Regular Fit (D) styles. This added space offers a more generous fit for broader feet without compromising structure or style.
- In the UK, a D fit is considered average width for men.
- In the USA, this is often called a Medium (M), Standard, or Regular fit.
- A Wide (EE) fit gives you more width across the ball of the foot — roughly one full width size up.
Whether you go with D or EE, both fits are built on the same last and crafted with the same precision. The width is the only difference — the shape, silhouette, and quality remain identical.
Not sure what to pick?
If you usually wear standard-width shoes and they fit just fine, choose Regular (D).If your shoes often feel tight across the front or sides, or you have a naturally wider foot, Wide (EE) might be the better call.
And remember — this isn’t something you need to overthink. If you’re not 100% sure, don’t stress. We offer a flexible returns policy so you can find your perfect fit with peace of mind.

What Others Say About The Goral Fit?
I received the boots and left a review around November 6th.
This boot is worth it.
I wore these boots for about a year. I beat this boot up as a security guard. I walked on concrete sidewalks and dirt roads. I put out small fires with the soles of my boots and warped the tread. To get to work, I rode a motorcycle in these boots and I did that for thousands of miles. I rode in the bone chilling winter wind chill and snow storms. I soaked these boots in spring rain and soaked them in drought-inducing summer sun. I used silicone boot polish and I used too much neatsfoot oil. After a year these boots were weathered.
Around that time, I sent them back to the United Kingdom to get them resoled and I was surprised by what I got back. The worn down outsole was replaced as expected but the uppers I beat up for a year were refurbished to great condition. If I had not known better, I would have thought they gave me new uppers.
It’s been about a month since I got my boots back. I take proper care of them now. Every night I brush them and put in the shoe trees Goral provided. I feel like I have a second chance to take care of them.
I’m not a guard now but I still use them for work. I am on my feet on a hard floor but I still feel no aches. In contrast, I wore my Jordan 1s to work once. My feet ached when I got home that day. I can say from experience that these boots are good to walk miles in and good to stand around in.
I have one critique of these boots. These boots were uncomfortable in the summer because they don’t expel heat. Last summer, I was outdoors with these boots quite often; my feet were in a leather oven! So much so I had to buy some combat boots made for hot weather.
All in all, I think my money was well spent. Money spent buying the boots and maintaining them. It’s a good looking, stable, durable, well-made boot that stood up to hard use and extreme conditions.
(Goral, would you produce a Sharman boot for those of us that live in hot climates? A Sharman with panels made of breathable nylon fabric would have been what I needed last summer. It’ll be what I need for next summer on the motorcycle ride to and from work.)
High-quality combat style boots using excellent materials and made to order
Love them. Thank you!
I have been looking for a quality pair of black boots for some time. The Sharman that you have made for me are fantastic and I am enjoying them.
🙏Aloha, The difference in the two supposedly identical sized boots & using the same heel lift was awful but I am trying to correct the second pair via a boot stretcher & muscle power. I asked for a $79.95 credit refund to buy the stretcher & got $79.50, close enough but pledged to stop any further expectation. However, as initially though to buy a third pair to receive a 10% discount, but after I understood the promise was made, I was informed it woudl mean free shipping OR 10% off. I elected free shipping. Due to problems with secodn pair I will not buy a third & if I had a do over would. ot have bought the second but I always spend hours sealing off all the pores & creating a final coating of Obenaufs leather preserver as well as premium Kiwi shoe paste carefully working bothin into the leather, so the finish is far better than when out of the box, hence reluctant to return boots I've invested so much finishing product & TIME into having a lasting pair of boots. The first pair is superb but the second will be worn much less defeating my purpose of rotating boots among three pair with shoe trees in latest worn & third empty to make sure very dry inside before wearing the next or third day. Boots last much longer in my experience. Due to my pledge to accept the stretcher, this issue is closed & regret the second purchase but will keep working on them? 🌈Aloha from Maui, Hawaii🏝
