Behind the Scenes - Working with Cheaney to bring back a classic
BEHIND THE SCENES
Last year we were approached by the team at Joseph Cheaney & Sons to help them create a small collection of trainers to add to their line of traditional footwear. After the success of this collection they reached out again to ask about developing a simple white sneaker to launch in time for summer.
Digging into the archives for patterns to share with the team we came across one of our discontinued styles from a few years back, similar to our minimal staple The Mellor but with a more traditional facing design similar to a classic tennis sneaker.
We added Cheaney's classic fleur de lis punching to the heel and an embossed union jack to the tongue as with last year's releases to create a new style that combines GORAL craftsmanship with Cheaney design values.
