We’re proud to introduce three GORAL silhouettes crafted in a one-of-a-kind leather, developed in collaboration with the renowned Maryam tannery in Italy. After months of working together, we’ve created a material that’s made to evolve, ageing with every wear and telling a story that’s uniquely yours.

Here’s what makes it special:

1. What is full grain vegetable-tanned leather?

Full grain vegetable-tanned leather is considered one of the finest leather available. It's characterised by being made from the entire animal hide, including the natural grain, making it strong and durable. The tanning process uses only natural plant-based tannins (like bark and leaves), making it slower but far more sustainable and rich in depth.

2. How does patina develop on this leather?

Patina is what sets vegetable-tanned leather apart. As you wear it, the leather absorbs oils from your hands, exposure to light, and elements in your environment. Over time, this causes the colour to deepen from pale nude to rich golden caramel tones, every mark, crease, and shade change tells your personal story.

3. Why is Maryam’s full grain veg tan so special for patina?

Maryam’s natural veg tan leather is among the best in the world when it comes to patina development. It’s highly absorbent, rich in character, and completely untreated, meaning no synthetic coatings to block the aging process. It’s a living material that gets better the more it’s used. No two pairs will ever look the same.
