The Story of the Muggs - From Jacket to Best-Seller

The MUGGS weren’t planned, they were born out of a bit of fun for our Will It Shoe? series. Weston from Rose Anvil sent us a shearling jacket to see if we could turn it into a pair of trainers, so we did and they actually turned out pretty good.

When Weston saw them, he came back with an idea to collaborate and make the ultimate winter sneaker. He pictured something like a “manly Ugg” with all of the comfort and warmth of shearling, but made from the highest quality leather, our resoleable construction, and most importantly none of that fluffy fur sticking out of the top like (in his words) “J.Lo’s boots” and that’s how the MUGGS were born.

Fast forward three releases later and they’ve become our best-seller. People love them because they actually do what a winter shoe should, keep your feet warm and dry, look good with everything, and last for years.

Why they’re different:

  • Fully lined with real Irish shearling
  • Made from Horween Chromexcel leather
  • Handmade in Sheffield, England with a resoleable Blake stitch construction
  • Backed by our lifetime repair guarantee

We’re crafting a batch for October, right in time for the cold weather, but it is limited to just 20 pairs in each Horween Chromexcel colour and that’s it. Once they’re gone, they’re gone. If you want a pair, don’t wait, we’ve seen how quickly these disappear every year and trust us winter is better in MUGGS.
