Built on heritage. Defined by craftsmanship. Designed for now.

The GORAL story begins in 1936, when Franciszek Goral opened a small workshop in Poland to handcraft shoes for his local village. What started as a humble operation rooted in skill and integrity has grown into a proud family legacy, now four generations strong.

Today, GORAL is a leading British premium footwear brand, run by Franciszek’s great-great-grandson, Dominik Goral. We’ve spent over 80 years making shoes for some of the world’s most respected luxury labels, but what truly sets us apart is our commitment to doing things the right way.

At our Sheffield factory, a team of 40 skilled craftsmen, many of whom have been with us for decades, build every pair of GORALs by hand. Using traditional techniques passed down through generations and refined for today, we ensure quality is baked into every stitch, every panel, every pair.

While our methods are steeped in tradition, our outlook isn’t. GORAL bridges the gap between timeless craftsmanship and modern style. Every design begins with longevity in mind, shoes built to last, and made to move with you.

We pride ourselves on using some of the world’s finest leathers: Horween Chromexcel, Shell Cordovan, C.F. Stead suede, and other premium hides known for their durability, character, and natural patina. These materials are complex to work with, but they reward the effort with rich colour, deep texture, and a finish that only gets better with age. Just like our construction, they’re made to wear in, not wear out.

With this in mind, we introduced REBUILD+, our in-house resole and refurbishment service. Customers can return their shoes to the factory to be re-lasted, re-soled, and rebuilt, restoring them to full strength. It makes every pair a better investment and supports a more sustainable future by extending the life of what we already own. Because when something’s built right, it’s worth keeping and when it’s built by GORAL, it’s built for a lifetime of wear.
