GORAL on The Factory Next Door Podcast
We had the pleasure of joining Steve on this week’s episode of The Factory Next Door, a podcast that shines a light on the best things made right here in the UK, and this time it was our turn.
Steve's episode is called The Resoleable Sneaker, and it digs into what makes our shoes stand out in the world’s biggest sneaker market, the USA. With over $25 billion in annual sales, it’s a crowded space but as Steve puts it, “you need a stellar USP to stand out.”, and ours is a resoleable construction on handmade sneakers and boots.
In the episode, Dom Goral shares how our shoes are designed with replaceable soles using traditional Blake stitch construction, a method that’s rare in modern sneakers. We also talk about the move from Poland to our Sheffield workshop and how a tight-knit team, solid craftsmanship, and the right kind of buzz online helped put us on the map.
It’s a conversation about shoes, but also about process, questioning norms, and making something that doesn’t just look good, but lasts for life.
