CLOSING ROOM OPERATIVE

5 YEARS AT GORAL & SON⁠

Meet Danuta, one of the members of our closing team, for the past 5 years she's been responsible for stitching sections of leather and other materials together to form the upper of the shoes we make for ourselves and other brands.

We spoke to her about why she wanted to join the Goral & Son team, what she likes about working here at the workshop and what she gets up to outside of work. Here's what she had to say:

"Before working at Goral & Son I worked in a few different machinist jobs, they were okay but I wanted to make a switch to somewhere I could gain more experience and make better quality products, I heard about the opportunity at Goral & Son through a friend and thought it would be a great way to find out more about UK shoe manufacturing. 

Since working here I haven't looked back, the atmosphere is great, much less stressful than other jobs I've had and being located so close to the city makes it easier to go explore all the great shops, bookstores and cafes in Sheffield"
