Styling the Blood Core SLUGGS at Manchester’s Auteur Store

When it comes to timeless style with real character, Auteur in Chorlton, Manchester is quietly leading the way. The store champions heritage menswear that’s built to last with clothing that looks and feels just as good on day 100 as they do on day one. Naturally we wanted to bring them something that shared that same spirit so we linked up with founder and stylist Alex to shoot a styled session with the Blood Core SLUGGS, our fully resoleable, shearling-lined slip-ons.

At first glance, SLUGGS might look like indoor footwear, but they’re built from the same uncompromising materials as our most hardwearing styles:

• Full Grain Blood Core leather 2-2.5mm in thickness (boot quality leather), developed in collaboration with Rose Anvil and Seidel Tannery
• Fully lined with Irish Shearling
• Set on a durable TPS outsole

They’re comfortable, yes, but they’re also built to last. That duality is what made them so fun to style with Auteur. Alex paired the SLUGGS with 3 different outfits using Japanese selvedge denim, layered shirting, chino trousers, and waxed outerwear, as 3 ways to prove these aren’t just for staying in.
